Daniel R. Bryant
Daniel is a Managing Partner of Sheridan Road. Daniel is responsible for the day to day operations of Sheridan Road, oversees both the Company’s strategic advisory business and manages the firm’s many external relationships. Daniel is NASD Series 7, 63, and 65 licensed and is also life, health, and variable licensed. Immediately prior to founding Sheridan Road, Daniel was a Managing Director and Head of the Business & IT Services Investment Banking Group as well as the Chicago Investment Banking Office for a number of investment banks, including Robertson Stephens and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette. Prior to these roles, Daniel was a corporate finance specialist for Sam Zell’s The Equity Group. Daniel has worked on more than 250 transactions throughout his career, including every form of merger, acquisition, recapitalization, restructuring, fairness opinion, initial public offering, secondary offering, and private placement. Daniel holds a B.A. in Government from Dartmouth College and a Masters in Management in Accounting and Finance from Northwestern University’s J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management. Daniel serves on a number of corporate boards, including About Learning and is active in many civic and philanthropic organizations including The Economic Club of Chicago, The Art Institute of Chicago, The Field Museum, Dartmouth Club of Chicago, The Winter Club of Lake Forest, The Chicago Club, Executives' Club of Chicago, Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) and The Illinois Manufactures' Association (IMA).
Jim O’Shaughnessy
Jim O’Shaughnessy is a Managing Partner of Sheridan Road. Jim is responsible for the day to day operations of Sheridan Road’s retirement plan consulting business and wealth management group. Jim maintains all mutual fund, insurance and administrative relationships. Prior to co-founding Sheridan Road, Jim worked for AXA Advisors where he built one of the largest asset management businesses focused on middle market corporate retirement plans in the country. Jim holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ (AIF) designation from the Center for Fiduciary Studies and the PRP designation from Plan Sponsor. Jim is NASD Series 6, 7, 24, 63 and 65 licensed, as well as, life, health and variable licensed. Jim's experience in the field of qualified plans has led to his active involvement with several industry advisory boards, and he is currently a member of American Funds Advisory Council, JP Morgan’s Retirement Advisory Council, AllianceBernstein Advisor Board, Wachovia’s Independent Retirement Advisor Council and Putnam's Golden Scale Advisory Council. He is a member of the Center for Fiduciary Studies and the Profit Sharing Council of America. Jim is as an advocate for the retirement plan industry, frequently speaks at industry conferences, and consults on ways to improve the overall health of the U.S. retirement plan system. For his achievements, he was recently recognized by Plan Sponsor as a top 5 finalist for Plan Sponsor Advisor of the Year and was named as one of the 20 Rising Stars of Retirement Plan Advisors by Institutional Investor News. Jim received his B.S. in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
Ed Kollada
Edward Kollada is a Managing Director with Sheridan Road and focuses on passive money management solutions for individuals as well as corporate retirement plans. Prior to Sheridan Road Ed worked for Lehman Brothers in their Wealth Management Group and Senior Banker at American Chartered Bank. Ed brings with him a deep background in new business, sales, and account management through commercial banking, lease financing, financial planning, and investment strategies. Ed is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Financial Planner and Certified College Planning Specialist; and holds his 7, 26 and 65 licensed as well as his life and health insurance licenses. Ed received his B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University.
Dan Lundquist
Dan Lundquist is a Managing Director with Sheridan Road and focuses on providing investment, wealth management and educational services to individuals and high net worth families. Dan provides highly personalized financial advice, financial planning, portfolio construction and estate planning services to our clients. Dan is FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licensed. He also has Life, Health, and Property & Casualty insurance licenses. Prior to joining Sheridan Road, Dan spent 10 years as a financial advisor with AXA Advisors and prior to that was a loan officer for Citibank. Before joining the financial services field, Dan was both a commercial and corporate pilot. Dan is a Certified Financial Planner TM, as well as a registered representative and financial planner. Dan received both his B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Illinois and is very active in a number of non-for-profit organizations throughout the Chicagoland area.
Lorence H. Merritt
Lorence (“Lory”) H. Merritt is a Managing Director with Sheridan Road and focuses on providing investment and wealth management services to individuals and high net worth families. Lory provides highly personalized financial advice, financial planning, portfolio construction and estate planning services to our clients. Prior to joining Sheridan Road, Lory spent 25 years in the financial services industry, focusing on individual planning services. Lory is a Chartered Financial Consultant and Chartered Life Underwriter, as well as a registered representative and financial planner for Sheridan Road's broker dealer, NRP Financial. Lory received his B.A. from the University of Illinois. He is an active fundraiser for cancer research and patient care and resides in Highland Park, IL. Lory is FINRA Series 7, 26 and 65 licensed as well as his life and health insurance licenses. Lory has a vast network of estate planning attorneys, accountants and consultants he works with to provide holistic advice to our clients.
Jay Warren
Jay Warren is a Managing Director with Sheridan Road and focuses on providing investment and wealth management services to individuals and high net worth families. Jay provides highly personalized financial advice, financial planning, portfolio management and estate planning services to our clients. Prior to joining to Sheridan Road, Jay spent seven years with Smith Barney as a financial advisor. Previous to Smith Barney, Jay spent eleven years in the financial services industry, most notably with Mass Mutual. Jay is FINRA Series 6, 7, 31, 63, 65 licensed and is life, health and variable licensed. Jay received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin - Madison and his M.B.A. from Loyola University of Chicago. Jay resides in Highland Park with his wife, Robin and two kids.
Scott Foster
Scott Foster is a Managing Director within Sheridan Road’s strategic advisory business. Scott provides mergers and acquisitions expertise and corporate finance advice to public and private middle market companies. Scott has more than 20 years of investment experience working with many leading firms such as Global Funds LLC, Susquehanna International Group LLP, Donaldson, Lufkin, Jenrette/Credit Suisse, ABN Amro and Lehman Brothers. Prior to his career in the corporate finance industry, Scott was a professional tennis player in the USTA Penn Circuit throughout the United States. Scott is NASD Series 7, 63 licensed and is life, health and variable licensed. Scott received his B.S. from the University of Kentucky and remains active in the community.
Charles Williams
Charles Williams is a Managing Director with Sheridan Road and focuses on Sheridan Road's retirement plan consulting business. Prior to joining Sheridan Road, Chuck worked for Leumi Investment Services as a Senior Investment Advisor and as a Retirement Plans Coordinator where his focus was on financial planning, asset management and corporate plan services for high net worth business owners. Chuck was also involved with corporate retirement plan design, sales and implementation for domestic clients. Chuck is also an Adjunct Professor at the School of Continuing Studies at Northwestern University where he teaches a Retirement Planning and Employee Benefits course to students studying to become Certified Financial Planners (CFP). Chuck is a Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS), Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF), Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS). Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP). He holds his Series 6, 7, 24 and 66 licenses as well as his life and health insurance licenses. Charles received his B.S. in Finance from DePaul University and his M.B.A. from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University with a concentration in Marketing.
Chris Karam
Chris Karam is a Senior Vice President at Sheridan Road who specializes in portfolio management for high net worth families and trustees of employer sponsored retirement plans. Chris is adept at managing all aspects of the fiduciary investment advisory process and has a strong track record of success building and retaining over $600 million under administration and investment management. Chris spent nine years as the Chief Investment Officer of a federally registered investment adviser in Bingham Farms, Michigan. Chris is FINRA Series 65 licensed, is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA™) and is actively pursuing his CFA designation. Chris is responsible for working across the firm’s wealth management practice to offer the appropriate due diligence and investment strategy for each client. Chris received his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Decision Science from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, and currently resides with his family in Barrington, Illinois.
Ron Kochman
Ron Kochman is a Senior Vice President with Sheridan Road who specializes in wealth management and retirement preparation. He caters to high net worth individuals and baby boomers. Ron is FINRA Series 7 and 66 licensed and is also life, health and variable licensed. Ron also works with many of the firm’s Retirement Advisory clients in our education capacity. Ron is a graduate of Penn State University, and has a masters degree from Northeastern University. He resides in Kenilworth, Illinois with wife Saynde and two sons.
Nell Pike
Nell is a Vice President and Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) with Sheridan Road and provides strategic advisory services to the firm’s many clients. Prior to joining Sheridan Road, Nell was an Associate in the Valuation Group with Huron Consulting and an Equity Research Analyst with Robert W. Baird & Company. Nell focuses on developing industry and company research, as well as, sophisticated financial and strategic models for our clients. She is a member of the CFA Institute, the Investment Analysts Society of Chicago (IASC) and the Business Valuation Association. Nell received her B.S. in Finance with High Honors from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and was valedictorian of Marshall High School. Nell is active in the Junior League of Evanston-North Shore and was a Varsity Golf letter winner for four years in college.
Mark Stasik
Mark Stasik is a Vice President with Sheridan Road and focuses on assisting individuals and their families in building, protecting, and maintaining Financial Security. He is actively engaged in developing retirement strategies for his clients. Mark is an advisory representative for Sheridan Road’s broker dealer National Retirement Partners (NRP). Prior to joining Sheridan Road, Mark spent 25 years as an information technology consultant. Mark earned a M.B.A. in marketing and finance from Northwestern University. He received his B.A. from the University of Illinois in Urbana, Illinois. Mark resides in Arlington Heights, Illinois. Mark is FINRA Series 7 and 66 licensed and life, health,annunity and long term care insurance licensed.
Jeff Johnson
Jeff Johnson is an Associate with Sheridan Road. Jeff is responsible for managing corporate advisory and corporate finance projects on a day to day basis. Jeff works with a wide variety of clients in developing financial and strategic forecasts, evaluating merger and acquisition alternatives and analyzing appropriate corporate finance structures for clients. Jeff received his B.A. in International Business from Fairfield University and his M.B.A. from Loyola University in Chicago. Prior to joining Sheridan Road, Jeff worked for Grey Worldwide in New York. Jeff earned a Varsity Lacrosse letter for his four years in college and is active in a variety of philanthropic activities in his hometown of Chicago.
Michael LaFontaine
Michael LaFontaine is an Associate with Sheridan Road. Michael focuses on providing investment, wealth management and retirement services to his clients. By providing highly focused, comprehensive solutions; Michael is able to provide clients with superior customized service. Prior to joining Sheridan Road, Michael worked for a proprietary trading firm. He was based in London for two and a half years and has extensive knowledge of both European and U.S. markets. Michael received his Bachelors degree from John Carroll University, where he was a member of the baseball team. He is also a member of the Union League Club of Chicago. Michael holds both Series 7 & 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health and variable insurance licenses.
James Ondrey
James Ondrey is an Associate with Sheridan Road. James works within the firm’s wealth management practice providing investment due diligence, research, and portfolio analysis. He works closely with the firm’s advisors designing customized financial planning and investment strategies for their clients. He holds his Series 7 and 66 licenses as well as life and health licenses in the state of Illinois. James graduated from Miami University of Ohio with a B.A. in Finance. While attending Miami University, James served as financial chair of two campus organizations, obtained the Parent’s Council Award for Service Leadership, and was often recognized on the Dean’s Honor Roll. Originally from Cleveland, OH, James now resides in downtown Chicago.
Jeremy Weith
Jeremy is an Associate / Relationship Manager for Sheridan Road. Jeremy focuses on financial analysis, due diligence benchmarking, writing information memoranda, developing management presentations as well as acting as a liaison between our clients. Prior to joining Sheridan Road in January 2006 he worked for AXA Advisors. Jeremy is a Graduate of The University of Wisconsin with a B.S. in Finance, with high regards. Jeremy has earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) professional designation, awarded by the Center for Fiduciary Studies, which is associated with the University of Pittsburgh. He holds his Series 7, Series 63, Series 65, Health and Life licenses in the state of Illinois. Jeremy continues to serve the community in his active participation with the Big Brothers and Sisters Program of the Chicagoland area and the Boy Scouts of America.
Sean Gilmore
Sean Gilmore is a Financial Analyst with Sheridan Road. Sean is responsible for evaluating various financial and valuation models, such as discounted cash flow, comparable company analysis, premium paid analysis and leveraged buyout analysis for our clients. Sean is a graduate of the University of Denver with a B.A. in Mathematics.
Aaron Harter
Aaron Harter is a Financial Analyst for Sheridan Road. Aaron plans to work in all three areas of the business, investment banking, qualified planning, and wealth management. Prior to joining Sheridan Road, Aaron worked with Lenox Advisors as a member of the wealth management team. Aaron graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago with a B.S. in Finance and Economics. While at Loyola, Aaron was a member of the varsity golf team for four years. Aaron was also a member of the Loyola Student Athlete Advisory Committee, as well as the Horizon League Student Athlete Advisory Committee, through which he performed community service and represented his fellow student athletes.
David Barkhausen
David "Wicks" Barkhausen is a Junior Financial Analyst at Sheridan Road Capital. Wicks is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana. He is majoring in Mathematics and Economics and Management with a minor in Spanish. He has previously worked as an intern at Hewitt Associates and the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago. Wicks is involved in numerous volunteer organizations and is a student congress representative and the vice president of his fraternity.
Nicole Krejacarek
Nicole Krejcarek is a Junior Financial Analyst Intern at Sheridan Road Capital. Nicole is currently pursuing her Bachelors of Business Administration at Loyola University Chicago. While attending school Nicole is involved with the Unified Student Government Association, Beta Gamma Sigma and chairs the films committee. Nicole will graduate in May of 2009 with a degree in Finance, Economics, International Business and a minor in Italian.
Jason Quillin
Jason Quillin is a Junior Financial Analyst at Sheridan Road Capital. Jason is currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University. Jason is a Chick Evans scholarship recipient and recently placed second in the Kelley School of Business I-Core Case Competition.
Sheryl Lewis
Sheryl Lewis is the Office Manager for Sheridan Road. Sheryl is in charge of the daily office activities as well as acting as a liaison for clients and plan participants. Her duties include managing the principal’s schedules and arranging client appointments. Sheryl has been with Sheridan Road since 2005; previously Sheryl held upper management positions in several prominent retail boutiques on the North Shore. Sheryl received her B.S. in Education from the University of Kansas. She resides in Deerfield, Illinois with her husband and two children.
Susan Chandler
Susan Chandler is responsible for managing the marketing programs and materials for Sheridan Road. She oversees the design, layout and marketing of the Sheridan Road brand in all print materials, brochures, advertisements and newsletters. Susan is the Editor of The Sheridan Road Map, the monthly Company newsletter which is distributed to over 800 corporate and individual clients. Susan received her B.A. in Marketing from Michigan State University and is active in a number of philanthropic activities.
Jan Lundquist
Jan is an clerical assistant for Sheridan Road. Her duties include maintaining files, following up on resolution of issues, preparing correspondence, completing paperwork associated with client accounts, and other administrative tasks. Prior to her current position Jan worked at an educational publishing company in Chicago for twenty years as an administrative assistant in the offices of the president, treasurer, legal counsel and national sales manager.
