David L. Reichart is the Head of Business Development for Principal Funds. In this role, he is responsible for the long-term growth of its mutual fund products, focusing on specific asset classes and franchise fund products. David joined the Principal Financial Group® in 1991 and served as executive director of relationship management and distribution for Principal Global Investors before being named senior vice president of Principal Funds in 2006. He was elevated to his current role in 2009. David received a master’s in business administration from Drake University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Nebraska. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a Registered Representative of Princor Financial Services Corporation. David is a member of the CFA Institute, the Life Office Management Association (LOMA) and passed the FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 examinations.
