Ron Garriques is the former President, Communication Solutions, for Dell. In this role, he focused on bringing to market connected computing products and services through new channels of distribution, including telecommunications, cable, satellite and others. Previously, he served as president, Consumer, where he was responsible for the Dell portfolio of consumer products, including desktops, laptops, software and peripherals, as well as product design and sales. Prior to joining Dell, Ron served in various leadership roles at Motorola. He was most recently responsible for the Mobile Devices division. He was also senior vice president and general manager of the Europe, Middle East and Africa region for Personal Communications Services (PCS) division where he drove sales, customer satisfaction and market share improvements. He also served as senior vice president and general manager of worldwide product line management for PCS. He also held management positions at AT&T Network Systems, Lucent Technologies and Philips Consumer Communications. Ron earned a master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Boston University and a master’s degree in mechanical engineering from Stanford University.
