Joe Connell is a Managing Director with Sheridan Road based out of the Minneapolis office where he focuses on Sheridan Road’s retirement plan consulting business. Joe is a senior consultant responsible for the business development and management of client relationships throughout the Upper Midwest. His areas of expertise include ERISA compliance, plan design and administration, managing fiduciary responsibilities, and participant education. Joe graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, and has earned the designations of Accredited Investment Fiduciary™ (AIF®), Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist (CRPS®), and Registered Fiduciary™ (RF™). Joe is a member of the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and the Profit Sharing Council of America (PSCA). Most recently, Joe was recognized as a 2011 Morningstar & ASPPA 401(k) Advisor Leadership Award Finalist, and was named one of the Top 300 Most Influential Advisors in Defined Contribution for 2009, 2010 and 2011 by 401kWire.com.
